Josephine Esther Wagoner

Josephine Esther Wagoner passed away Dec. 3, 2017.

Josephine was born Aug. 1, 1937 in Biddle to John and Alice Caswell. Jo grew up in Buffalo, Wyoming and graduated from high school in 1955. She married the love of her life Allen James Wagoner on Oct. 5, 1955 in Casper, Wyoming. They made their home in Buffalo, Wyoming where their two children Gail and Len were born. The summer of 1967 they moved to Plains. She lost Allen to a tragic logging accident March 10, 1988. Jo worked and retired from the Clark Fork Valley Hospital March 2003 where she worked in housekeeping and laundry.

Josephine was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Allen; sister, Lois Gally; and brother, Leroy Larralde.

Josephine is survived by her brothers, Harold Caswell and Joseph (Punky) Larralde; children, Gail and Len (Carleen); grandsons, Casey McCrea, Rocky Wagoner (Rebecca), Allen (Carrie) McCrea, and Dustin (Rose) Wagoner. Great-grandchildren, Carlie, Westin, Randy, Brody, Owen, Emma and Elijih; numerous nieces and nephews; and her best friend and companion, Roxy.

Pallbearers are her grandsons Casey, Rocky, Allen and Dustin. Honorary pallbearer is Charles Airhart.

A viewing was held Dec. 12. Services will be held at the Methodist Church in Plains, Dec. 13 at 2 p.m. Memorials can be made to Sanders County Council on Aging.
