Dotty Benson

Dorothy Deane Benson passed away Dec. 10, 2017. Dotty was born Jan. 15, 1942 to Ira and Marie Cave in Sandpoint, Idaho.

She moved to Plains with her family and attended Plains schools graduating in 1960. She married William Benson Nov. 27, 1962 and together they made their home in Plains until Bill’s death in 1987. She worked for many years at the Dime Store and later at The Circle. Later she moved to St. Louis and reunited with an old friend whom she spent the next wonderful 29 years with. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Bill, two sisters and her brother John Cave. She is survived by her son, Ken (Shannon) Benson; her daughter, Dede (Ken) Steinebach; and her loving companion, Rick, all of Plains. Her grandchildren, Gretchen, Jessica, Kyle, Keely and Logan. Her great-grandchildren, Macey, Kameryn, Karissa, Paisley and Lane. We are honoring her request that there be no service.
