Senior health and information day will be held on February 18 at the Superior Elementary. The public is welcome to come out and visit vendor booths which incudes: Mineral Co Sheriffs Dept. who will be disposing of your old drugs. Learn about insurance that Life Flight Is offering. Alberton resident Parris Jan Young will be reading and signing his book. There will also be lunch and door prizes.

There will be a Montana Hunter Education Classroom Course held in Alberton on starting on March 28 for five days. Class will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. at the school. Registration is currently open at register-ed.com.

On Tuesday, Feb. 21 at 5:15 p.m. in the Superior Ambulance Facility, 1202 5th Avenue East the ‘Hospital Hikers’ will meet to discuss/plan destinations, dates and determine who will be the head-guide for the spring and summer of 2017.

Calling all Mineral County High School and Middle School Students, you could win $100 for designing a logo for the local DUI Task Force. See your school counselor or email EOrnelas@co.mineral.mt.us for more information. Deadline is Feb. 24, 2017.

A new journaling group is starting in February to be held monthly on the first and third Tuesday at 10 a.m. at the LDS Church in Superior. All forms of writing are welcome including blogs, poetry, and short-story. Contact Nancy Wilson at 822-4548 for information.

Alberton Public Library presents Feb. Storytime on Fridays at 10 a.m. This month features “Being Silly” on Feb. 17 and “Colors!” on Feb. 24. The Library also accepts donations to purchase books, DVD’s and audio books. Also, they accept new or gently used Legos or Duplos, as well as used books and DVD’s.
