Plains rolls past St. Regis

PLAINS — This game was fierce down to the final seconds, with Plains grabbing a 45-43 win over St. Regis in the final 50 seconds of the game.

Lindsay Laws of Plains scored 20 points within the key and on the edge. The Tigers lost their lead in the third quarter of the game and came back strong in the fourth quarter. It was the determined Trotters who did not give up and scored the winning basket within the final minute to keep the Tigers at bay.

The Horsemen continued to dominate Class 14C basketball by beating the Tigers.

Horsemen players kept the game fast-paced and quickly outscored the Tigers by double digits in the first two quarters. The Tigers’ roar was soon turned into a grumble as several Plains players scored into the double digits, hitting the basket from inside the key by driving through the defense.
