St. Regis boys clobber Lincoln Lynx, 65-49
The St. Regis Tigers clobbered the Lynx during Friday evening’s road trip to Lincoln, 65-49. The Tigers took an early lead and kept it up throughout the game, with a full-court, man-to-man defense. The Tigers were up 42-28 by the half and kept the Lynx at bay for the rest of the evening. Brock Cantrell-Field led the team with 21 points, Trevor Lowry 15, Nic Day 10, Eric Eslick 6, Brandon Managhan 11.
Eagles swoop in and defeat Mountain Cats
Valley Christian put the pressure on the Clark Fork Mountain Cats and won 63-23. The Cats (1-4 in conference, 1-8 overall) held their own during the first half of the game during Friday evening’s matchup in Missoula with a half time score, 20-13 with the Eagles in the lead. But in the third quarter, the Eagles (4-0 conference, 7-2 overall) swooped in and put 30 more points on the board, leaving the Cats in the dust. Bryan Mask, Nick Turnbull, Carson Callison all had 5 points each for the evening. Michael Spence had 6 and Taryn Ververis, 2.
Hot Springs boys clip St. Regis, 62-59
Hot Springs out-paced the St. Regis boys during a home basketball game on Saturday evening, 62-59. The game was close throughout the evening, with the score 36-32 at the half with Savage Heat in the lead. The Heat (4-2 conference, 8-2 overall) then took a seven-point jump in the final frame and won despite being outscores 17-13 in the final eight minutes. Hot Springs, Trevor Paro, led with 25 points. Brock Cantrell-Field had the game high score of 31 for St. Regis (3-3 conference, 5-4 overall). Followed by Senior, Trevor Lowry with 12. Nic Day scored 7 points, Brandon Managhan 4, Ian Ferris 3, and Eric Eslick 2.
Mountain Cats boys can’t catch Darby Tigers
Darby Tigers took their first season victory, with a win over the Clark Fork Mountain Cats in boys basketball, 58-38. It was a home game in Alberton on Saturday night, where the Cats barely trailed the Tigers (1-3 conference, 4-5 overall) throughout most of the game with a half-time score of 36-30. But the Tiger’s took a surge in the fourth quarter and put 22 points up to the Cats eight. Tigers, Dylan Parks was game high scorer with 22 points. Cats eighth grader, Bryan Mask and Senior, Nick Turnbull were high scorers with 10 points each. Michael Spence had 9, Taryn Ververis, 8 and Carson Callison, 1.

Mountain Lady Cats jump past Darby Tigers
The Lady Clark Fork Mountain Cats put the pressure on the Darby Tigers and didn’t let up, giving them a 50-40 victory. The Saturday night game in Alberton started out strong for the Cats (5-1 conference, 8-1 overall) with a 16-9 lead by the end of the first quarter. Cats freshman, Samantha Clevenger, led the charge by putting 18 points on the board. Followed by Hailey Kelly with 13, and Kenzie Mueller with 11. Emma Dubois, Montanna Baughman, Sophia Krutilla, and Madison Mask all had 2.
Lady Tigers pounce on Hot Springs, win 57-37
The Lady St. Regis Tigers pounced on Hot Springs and won 57-37 during Saturday night’s game in St. Regis. Madison Hill stole the show, putting 31 points on the board for the evening. The Tigers (4-2 conference, 6-3 overall) took an early lead and had the score at 24-13 at the half. By the fourth quarter, they put 22 points up to Hot Springs 16 (2-4 conference, 5-5 overall). Senior, Courtney Cheesman, added 7 points to the game, Madison Kelly 3, Emma Hill 8, Anna Sanford and Kylee Thompson, with 4 each.
Lady Cats swat down Eagles, 55-18
Clark Fork Mountain Cats ladies swatted down the Eagles, 55-18. During Friday evenings game in Missoula, the Cats jumped into the game putting 19 points on the board in the first quarter, to the Eagles seven. By the half, the Eagles were left in the dust with a 34-9 score. In the second half of the game, the Cats put another 21 points up to the Eagles nine. Sophomore, Madison Mask, was game high scorer with 14 points. Kenzie Mueller had 9, Sophia Krutilla and Margaret Parkin had 4 each. Hannah Calloway 2, Emma Duboise 6, Hailey Kelly 10, Montanna Baughman 1, Samantha Clevenger 5.
St. Regis girls leap over Lynx, 59-31
St. Regis girls pushed past the Lincoln Lynx while on the road with a 59-31 win. By the half, the Tigers were up 29-15. With Madison Hill and Madison Kelly taking top honors with 16 and 15 points on the board for the evenings high scores. The Tigers dominated in all four quarters, with double digit scores for the win. Courtney Cheesman contributed 6 points, Emma Hill, 11, Anna Sanford 3, Justice Tait 5, Gracie Shope 1, and Kylee Thompson 4.
