Flora Erotica opens at Hot Springs Gallery

The latest show for the On the Wall Gallery debuted July 7 with the opening of Flora Erotica.

The concept of the show (presented by Guynn Cavallini and Linda Williams)is to celebrate the magic of perfection in nature.

The show is open to all local artists for submission. There was no one medium that was required for each artists’ work.

From oil paintings, watercolour, photography and even jewellery, the only requirement for the art was for the artist to create a visual of what their own perception of Flora Erotica is.

Local art lovers and artists filled the gallery to experience the new show.

Though a variety of awards were available for art works submitted, the big winner of the night was Peter Cox, who took home the ‘People’s Choice Award’, with his title piece ‘Long cool woman in a Black Dress’.

The show is available for viewing through to the end of August. The On the Wall Gallery is located on the corner of Wall Street and Central in Hot Springs.
