Montana Aussie Adventures with Erin-Jay

Another glorious week in Montana, and still hard to believe that I now call this place home.

There is so much to say when it comes to history. Though I haven’t been many places yet (within the county and state), there is one thing I have found in common, the history books I see in grocery stores and gift shops.

History of the wild west, not just Montana, they even include the county.

I have always enjoyed American West history and I know I’m not the only one, either.

The wild west is so much more than just Cowboys and Indians, it is development, it is innovation and, of course, the wonders of discovery.

The more I see, the more I can not wait to experience ‘historic’ Montana and all the festivals that are in the state.

Travelling is a wonderful thing, trust me I have done my fair share… However, why not travel in your own back yard first? Find the wonders of where you live.

With the school season really just weeks away from another year starting, take the chance to go somewhere with your family. Be it just the weekend or how about extending those two days, you will be surprised at how far you can truly travel.

Some of my best memories have been from travelling. Now, I will admit, a lot of them have come from my own travels on my own, but that doesn’t mean that I haven’t made amazing life long friends that I share those memories with.

So if you’re needing a weekend away, go somewhere, camp while the weather is great, take the family and make some memories. If you’re about to head away to college, grab a mate and do the same.

Just remember to let people know where you are going and be safe.

Most importantly if you have a great tip of where I should go to see some of Montana’s best kept secrets, be sure to email us at the Valley Press.

I want to see it all, expand my horizons and maybe take a trail or two from yesteryear and discover something new.

Until next week...Hoo-Roo.
