Sanders County Sheriffs Report

The following incidents are from the Sanders County Sheriffs official report

July 3

Police attended a single vehicle car crash at MM70 on Hwy 200. No injuries or arrests made.

Property Damage as a Paradise resident phoned police due to someone breaking into their horse feed shed then dumping of the feed on the ground in front.

Another vehicle crash was called in to location MM25 on Hwy 200, airbags were deployed as a vehicle hit a deer.

July 4

Vehicle Vs Deer Hwy 200 MM35, no ambulance on scene

EMS were called to an elderly lady with possible broken hip taken to Clark Fork Valley Hospital.

EMS called to another elderly citizen due to difficulty breathing. Cause unknown, taken to Clark Fork Valley Hospital.

July 5

Vehicle crash MM16 Hwy471, no major injuries reported, vehicle hit deer, animal was determined deceased, vehicle determined unsafe to operate.

EMS was called approx. 5 miles outside Hot Springs as walker seemed to have heat stroke. Ambulance was despatched.

July 7

EMS were called as a Plains male reported being bitten by dogs on both arms and was taken to Clark Fork Valley Hospital

Local police were called to the Clark Fork Valley Hospital as a dog was reported to have been left in a vehicle. A by stander allegedly let the dog out of the car. Both owner and citizen had a heated discussion, all was resolved.

Please do not leave animals and children in vehicles during these extremes heats.

There were other minor traffic complaints phoned into the Sheriffs office along with welfare checks around the county.

US Forrest Service have been busy as well through out the week. Getting called to check on campfires or small grass fires. All were reported as contained.
