Jean Twichel, 89

Jean Twichel, 89, of Billings, formerly of Missoula and Plains, Mont. passed away Saturday, June 3, 2017 of natural causes.

Alta Jean Twichel was born in St. Ignatius, Mont., Dec. 24, 1927 the fourth of five children of Margaret Linsay Brison and Nelson David Brison. She graduated from Mission High School in St. Ignatius in 1946, married Jack Twichel June 1, 1947.

Jean was very artistic, arranging flowers, painting in oils, acrylics and water colors.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack, in 2002 and by all four of her siblings.

Survivors include her two sons: Brent and wife Peggy Twichel of Lakeside, Mont. and Mike and wife Gena of Indio, Calif.; four grandchildren: J.D. Twichel and wife Jessy and their children (Morgan, Kellen and Jasper), Sarah Conner and husband Brady and their children (Tensley and Leise), Kelly Twichel, Mike Tyler and wife Michelle and their daughter (Mia), many special nieces and nephews and sister-in-law Marilyn Twichel.

Cremation has taken place and a memorial graveside service will take place this fall at the old St. Mary`s Catholic Cemetery in Missoula.

We will remember Jean as a strong intelligent woman that loved and cared for her husband and her family. We will always love her and miss her.
