St. Patrick’s Day

The De Borgia Historic School House friends will be hosting their St. Patrick’s Day traditional corned beef and cabbage dinner including dessert and beverages for a low price. Friday, March 17 from 4 to 7 p.m. Join the fun!

Chamber meeting

The Mineral County Chamber of Commerce held their monthly meeting and set these important event dates:

The Car Show in Superior will be held June 3

The annual golf tournament will be held June 24

The Trail Rail Run in St. Regis will be held June 10.

KaBOOM!

The town of Superior is seeking letters of support to accompany our 2017 KaBOOM! Playful City USA application.

If you are willing to provide a letter of support for Superior’s application, please e-mail the letter to townofsuperior@blackfoot.net or mail the letter to the Town of Superior, PO Box 729, Superior MT 59872. Letters must be received by March 31 to be included with the application.

The letter can be from citizens or organizations.

Fundraiser

The Mineral County Medical Foundation will hold a fundraiser March 20, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. and March 21, 8 a.m. – 2 p.m. in the lobby. The area will become a giant retail-center with products which are unique to this area. Great Easter gift ideas. Funds raised support the health needs of county residents.

Well owners

Montana household water well owners are invited to use more than a dozen free online tools that will help them protect their property investment and their health, the Montana Water Well Drillers Association said today in recognition of National Groundwater Awareness Week, March 5-11.

The tools can be accessed by going to the website www.WellOwner.org, which is operated by the National Ground Water Association (NGWA). The Montana Water Well Drillers Association is affiliated with NGWA.

Aviation Art Contest

Students from across Montana are invited to participate in the 2017 MDT Aeronautics Division Aviation Awareness Art Contest.

The first-place winners in each grade category, K-5, 6-8, and 9-12, will be flown to Helena, with their parents, on May 5th for the awards ceremony at the State Capitol with Transportation Director, Mike Tooley, followed by a tour of the historic capitol building and lunch on Helena’s Last Chance Gulch. The winning artwork will be matted and framed.

The contest is open to all students in grades K-12 in public, private, and home schools. The aviation-themed original artwork should be labeled with the student’s name, grade, school, and teacher’s name and phone contact. Entries must be post marked by April 15, and may be mailed to Art Contest, Aeronautics Division, P.O. Box 200507, Helena, MT 59620-0507.

Awards Ceremony to be held on May 5, 2017.

The annual Health Fair that you wait for each year will be held on Saturday, May 20 from 9 a.m. to noon in the Superior Elementary School Gymnasium. Learn about health services that are readily available to everyone in County 54, plus news from Mineral Community Hospital.
