Sunday Father-daughter dance a hit in Superior

Girl Scout troop leaders Stephanie Quick, Kate Digiando, Claira Wheeler and Whitney Nue took advantage of prom and held their own dance on Sunday, March 19. It was the first father-daughter dance they had ever held and were thrilled with the turnout of nearly 100.
“The girls have been excited all week,” said Nue. “They went out and bought dresses just for this dance.”
The little dancers had a good reason to get dressed up, since their dates were their dads, who also put on their Sunday best to escort their pretty partners onto the floor.
The 2017 class prom had been held the night before in the multipurpose room of the high school and the troop took advantage of the decorations still in place. The floor teemed with activity as little ones chased balloons around the floor and dance couples twirled and slow-stepped to a variety of music mixed by teacher Angie Hopwood. The dance was free of charge and open to the public.
