The Cancer Network of Sanders County will begin its fundraising season with the annual “Music for Mom” event. The event will be held at the Rex Theater in Thompson Falls on Saturday, May 13, from 7 to 9 p.m. All proceeds from the show will benefit the Cancer Network.

The event is open to the public and appropriate for all ages. There is no charge for admission, but donations for the CNSC will be accepted at the door. This annual event is one of the major fundraisers for CNSC. The organization depends heavily on donations to fund gifts to those who are currently battling cancer. Not only are the donations at the door important, but the CNSC also gives a huge shout out to all the musicians who give of their time and talent to make this a wonderful show.

This year, music will be provided by Klaus and Cheff Family Band, Bob Sink the Fiddle Man, Pete Milne, Songs by Doug Grimm and his Guitar, Ukulele Duet with Martha and Donna, and more. Dave Oliver will be the Master of Ceremonies and has volunteered endless hours to put this musical treat together.

Be sure to bring Mom — she will have an opportunity to have her name drawn for an early Mother’s Day present she is sure to enjoy.

For more information about the event, call Kathy at 406-826-4278. If you can’t attend but would like to donate, donations can be sent to CNSC, P.O. Box 1311, Plains, MT 59859.
