Savage Heat boys, girls track set personal records at Frenchtown

The Hot Springs boys track team turned in several solid performances that included several PRs from some of their top-caliber performers in the Kim L Haines Memorial track meet Saturday at Frenchtown High School.

James De Tienne PRed in two of the five events he competed in. De Tienne PRed in the 400-meter dash and the discus.

De Tienne timed a 57.65 en route to a 12th place finish in the 400. His discus throw was 97 feet, 9 inches.

De Tienne also placed third in the 800-meter dash with a time of 2 minutes, 11.29 seconds.

De Teinne’s teammate Trevor Paro finished with three top-10 finishes in the five events he participated in. Paro finished 8th in the 100-meter dash with a time of 11.69 seconds, fifth in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 16.73 seconds and a personal record, second in long jump by recording a leap of 20 feet, 8 inches, and first in the triple jump levitating to 41 feet, 10 inches.

Paro also teamed up in the 4X100 relay team that consisted of Tyler Carr, Marco Degal, and Kane Lawson. Together they finished 11th with a time of 48.23 seconds.

Kane Lawson recorded PRs in the 100-meter dash and the 300-meter hurdles. Lawson finished 32nd with a time of 12.47, a personal record in the 100. Lawson also finished 11th in the 300-meter hurdles with his time of 47.71, also a personal record for the Savage Heat trackster.

Hot Springs runner Connor Perry finished in the top-10 in four of the five events he participated in. Perry captured fifth with a 43 feet, 8.5 inch throw. He finished fifth in discus by recording throws of 134 feet, 7 inches, a personal record. Perry also PRed in the high jump leaping to 5 feet, 8 inches to place fourth. He finished tenth in pole vault clearing 9 feet.

Addison Mueller had two top-10 finishes in field events. Mueller finished 10th in shot put with a throw of 39 feet, 0.5 inches and ninth in discus with a throw of 121 feet, 8 inches, a personal record.

Marco Degal finished with two top finishes the jump. events Deal cleared 5 feet, 4 inches in the high jump and 18 feet, 3 inches in long jump. The long jump he recorded was a 10th place finish, was also a personal record.

Girls shine at KLH Invite

Lady Savage Heat Madison Wheeler finished 18th in the 100-meter dash with a time of 14.19, a personal record.

Elena McAllister finished fourth in the 3,200-meter run, recording a time of 14 minutes, 15 seconds, and Karly Lawson continues to set personal records in virtually every meet. Lawson finished third with combined throws of 126 feet, 2 inches, another personal record for Lawson.
