Fredrick Edwin Gillott

ST. REGIS — Fredrick Edwin Gillott, 69, of St. Regis, Montana, died at 11:03 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 20, 2017, in Clark Fork Valley Nursing Home of Plains, where he had been a patient for one day.

Funeral services were held Saturday, Oct. 28, 2017, at St. Regis Community Bible church with burial at St. Regis Cemetery.

Fred was born in Canton, Illinoise on June 1, 1948, a son of Roy Edwin Gillott and Eva Ella Luthi-Gillott. He married Barbara Shoff on October 1, 1973 in Peoria, Illinoise.

Fred had served his country both in the U.S. Navy and then in the U.S. Army. At the time of his death, he was Chaplain for the American Legion Post 13 in St. Regis. 

 He had ministered at Bethel Baptist Church and Christian School in Spanaway, WA, for two years before going to work for the Boeing Co. in Renton, WA from which he retired in 2010.

His mother, father, and one sister, Barbara (Mrs. Carl) Kieser, preceded him in death.

Surviving are his wife, Barbara, brother, Robert Gillott of Olympia, WA., and three sisters; Mrs. Lila Rogers of Ipava, IL, Mrs. Rose Warsaw of Morton IL, and Mrs. Sandy David of Lewiston IL.

Fred was on the St. Regis School Board, the St. Regis Community Council Board, the St. Regis Senior Center Board, and a deacon of the St. Regis Community Bible Church. 

He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
