Bank's donation to food drive will help reach $5,000 match

Mineral County food bank dollars just got stretched a little further thanks to a grant from Well’s Fargo. The bank’s district manager, Dan Paulsen, traveled from Missoula to present a $2,000 check to Bonnie Fuller from Lucky Lil’s/Town Pump for their matching food drive on Wednesday, Nov. 15. Mineral Community Hospital applied for the grant and then donated the funds to the food drive.
Fuller, who heads up the Superior effort for Town Pump, has a goal of $5,000, which the Butte Headquarters will match, making the total donation $10,000 for Mineral County.
Fuller said she was thrilled to receive the Wells Fargo check and that it will feed a lot of people who are in need this winter.
Every dollar represents 3.6 pounds of food according to the Montana Food Bank Network. If the $5,000 match is met by the end of November, it means an additional 36,000 pounds of food for the Superior and Alberton food banks.
The Mineral Community Hospital’s food drive for non-perishable items will continue until the end of December.
