Savage Horsemen help bring the Christmas cheer to Plains

As the calendar creeps quickly toward another Christmas, the Savage Horsemen Wrestling team are once again selling locally sourced Christmas trees and sreaths for anyone in need.

“We have been doing this for around 10 years now, and it is our biggest fundraiser of the season for the team,” said assistant coach Jake Lile.

Coach Lile also went on to express how the whole team will be down at the Mangy Moose over the next two weeks helping locals load their trees.

Team members will be trading off days that they go down to help sell. By the end, all members of the local wrestling team will have shared some laughs and hot chocolate with locals who came down to buy a tree.

“Jerry Marjerrison went out again and harvested the trees we are selling from right here in Sanders County,” said Lile.

“Doreen Stokes also put the wreathes together for us to sell, so people can really get into the Christmas spirit,” he added.

“This is the second year we are selling the tree’s and wreaths at the Mangy Moose,” said Lile.

With the first week of December just around the corner, cars were seen to be lined up on both sides of the highway to ensure they didn’t miss out on their special Christmas tree this year.

“It’s a team effort all around and we hope the kids can raise some good money for this season,” expressed Lile
