Lloyd Byron Redmond

Lloyd Byron Redmond passed away suddenly at his home Sunday, Oct. 1, 2017. He was born April 24, 1941 in Enderlin, N.D. to Jesse and Lucille (Henderson) Redmond.
Lloyd married his high school sweetheart, Donna (Spiekermeier) Redmond, and achieved his degree in education. Lloyd and Donna moved their family to Montana where he spent 35 years of his career teaching and coaching for the Hot Springs Savages. During this time he obtained his masters degree. Before retiring, Lloyd also held the positions of athletic director and principal.
Lloyd’s love of the outdoors is what drew him to Montana. He spent many summers camping and four-wheeling with family. This passion has been passed down to at least two generations. Lloyd was an avid hunter and has traveled all over the state pursuing big game.
Lloyd was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse and Lucille; his brother, Darrell; and sister, Dorthy Jantz. He is survived by his wife, Donna of Hot Springs; brother, Donald of Helena; and sister, Carol Pudwell of Lemmon, S.D.; his daughter, Robin Foley (Bruce Ellis) of Butte; and son, Kyle (Christi) Redmond of Helena; his grandchildren, Brent Foley, Nikki (Tucker) Edmundson, Bryce (Taylor) Foley, Connor Foley, J’dra Depaul and Jesse Redmond; great grandchildren, Cutler, Cormac, Ruby, Red, Landon, and Maliyah; and many beloved nieces, nephews and extended family members.
