REQUEST FOR BIDS The City of Thompson Falls is requesting bids for the purchase of two dump trucks equipped with snow plows and sanders. Bids are to be for a fixed price contract for the described items. Detailed specifications can be obtained from the City Office by phone at 406-827-3557 or email at tfpworks@blackfoot.net. Sealed bids are to be delivered to the City of Thompson Falls Office at P.O. Box 99, 108 Fulton Street, Thompson Falls, Montana 59873. Bid receipt date is November 9, 2017 at 3PM. Bid opening will follow immediately after. All bids will be reviewed and award made on November 13, 2017. The City of Thompson Falls reserves the right to reject any or all bids. The Montana Department of Natural Resources and Conservation Letter of Intent PUBLIC NOTICE The Montana DNRC, Plains Unit is notifying the public as to our intent to harvest dead and dying timber damaged by the McCully Ridge Fire. The project, referred to as the Burnt Prairie Fire Salvage, is located approximately 23 air miles north of Plains, Montana, Section 12 T23N R27W. This fire salvage sale would most likely involve a 17 acre Leave Tree cutting unit and decked tree lengths generated from fireline construction. A total volume of approximately 165 mbf or 1200 tons of timber would be harvested. The objective is to salvage fire killed timber before it loses merchantability. This timber harvest would likely be accomplished in the fall/winter of 2017-2018.
