Volleyball

St. Regis loses to Plains on the road

St. Regis Lady Tigers played in Plain last Tuesday and lost all three sets. During play Anna Sanford secured 4 of the 16 Kills as well as 6 of the 11 Digs and all 6 Aces. Chloe Cielke helped by take 4 of the 16 Kills, Justice Tate secured 4 of the 6 Blocks. Total Digs recorded were 41 with Baylee Pruitt taking 16 and Emma Hill 15.

Clark Fork Lady Cats lose to Plains on Thursday

The Clark Fork Lady Mountain Cats faced off against Plains on Thursday night 25-21, 25-16, 12-25, 13-25 and 6-25. Everyone was encouraged to wear pink to support Breast Cancer Awareness month as the teams took to the floor in Superior. The game had been moved from 7 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. since there was no junior varsity game.

During the evening Montanna Baughman led the team in blocks with 2 with Kenzie Mueller making the other 2 blocks. Montanna also led in digs with 19 out of 59 and in aces with 6 out of 13. Margaret Parkin led in kills with 7 out of 26 and Madison Mask had 22 out of 24 assists.

Senior Night in Alberton marked with a win against Darby

It was Senior Night in Alberton with lone player Montanna Baughman taking the spotlight. Her team then went on to defeat the Darby Tigers in a 5 set match for the win with 25-22, 25-17, 15-25, 19-25, 15-1.

Throughout the evening Kenzie Mueller topped kills with 21 out of 38 and made one of two block, leaving the other to Emmah Baughman. Montanna led in digs with 20 out of a team total of 59. Madison Mask led in assists with 33 out of 35 and Margaret Parkin led in aces with 7 of 14.

St. Regis leaps over 2-Eagle for home win

St. Regis Lady Tigers won all three sets against 2-Eagle on their home court Saturday 25-7, 25-7, 25-11. Anna Sanford led in kills, with 8 out of 14 and in aces making 13 out of the team’s 39. Kiya Taylor had the single block for the evening and Baylee Pruitt had 5 out of the team’s 9 digs. Emma Hill had 4 of 8 assists for the evening.

Clark Fork takes loss from St. Ignatius, 54-40

The Clark Fork Mountain Cat 8-Man football team squared off against St. Ignatius on Saturday and succumbed to a 14 point loss, 54-40. Neither team was able to put any points on the board in the first quarter. Then, Cat freshman, Bryan Mask made a six yard touchdown with Voll in for the extra points to put them in the lead. St. Ignatius returned the call with Flint Mepherson receiving a 34 yard pass from Troy Mitchell for the score.

Senior Connor Voll then came back with two more touchdowns with Michael Parkin in for the extra points putting the Cats in the lead at half-time with 22-12. In the third quarter, St. Ignatius shut out the Cats putting 20 points up leaving a two point gap at the end of the third with the Cats ahead.

In the fourth quarter both teams pounded down the field taking turns with the score. During the first few minutes, St. Ignatius Troy Matt received a 50 yard pass for the score. Parkin then received an 18 yard pass from Mask for the touchdown. St. Ignatius’ Gus Bosley then scored, followed by Voll, then Bosley again. Parkin made the final score of the evening with a 36 yard pass from Mask, with a pass fail for the extra points.
