Sharron Mitchell Noyes, 64

| September 22, 2017 3:57 PM

Sharron Mitchell Noyes, 64, passed away Friday September 8, 2017 in Kalispell due to complications with pneumonia. She was born March 06, 1953 in Aberdeen, Washington to Isadore Jackson Mitchell and Jane Agnes (Whitworth) Mitchell.

Sharron was born while Jane was in a tuberculosis sanitarium and returned to the Dixon area as a baby. Upon her return she came to live with June and Leon Acevedo (whom she referred to and looked at as her ‘other parents’) until Jane recovered and returned home when Sharron was two.

Sharron married Michael Cottet in 1971, and together they had two children, William “Tyson” and Chad Cottet. Mike and Sharron also took in two foster daughters; Jeannie Cook and Patty Peltier Murphy. After their divorce in 1983, Sharron remarried, but the last 15 years was filled by raising Treylon and Sophie Mitchell.

Life wasn’t always easy for Sharron as a she dealt with health issues for the better part of 40 years including polymyositis, diabetes, cancer, a heart attack, and a bout of Bell’s palsy. Although these health issues affected her daily life for years, they did not stop her from earning her associates degree, working for the Tribes, attending high school sporting events, and living her life.

Sharron was a fighter (ask Treylon, Sophie, Tyson, Chad, Patty, or any medical care provider she ever met) but in October 2010, Chad finally found the answer to winning an argument with Sharron when her granddaughter, Olivia was born. Olivia, and later Hailey, made her light up even at the mention of their names. Sharron said that attending Olivia’s kindergarten graduation was one of the best days of her life.

She was preceded in death by her parents Isadore and Jane; brothers Gary and Donald Mitchell, foster child Jeannie Cook, and Leon Acevedo.

Sharron is survived by her children Tyson Cottet of Charlo, Chad (Shelly) Cottet of Polson, Treylon Mitchell of Polson, and Sophie Mitchell of Bozeman; foster daughter Patty (Matt) Murphy of Missoula; sisters Margerie (Urban) Bear Don’t Walk of St. Ignatius and Donna Mitchell of Arlee; brothers George Mitchell (Lynn) of Ronan and Robert Mitchell of St. Ignatius; and granddaughters Olivia and Hailey Cottet; June Acevedo of Ronan and family; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Mom is now free of pain and resting in peace.

At Sharron’s request, no services will be held. Memories and condolences may be sent to the family at www.thelakefuenralhomeandcrematory.com.
