Volleyball

Noxon defeats St. Regis at home

On Friday, Sept. 22 Noxon took home the honors with a win over St. Regis Lady Tigers 25-16, 28-26, 26-24. The games were close with a nail-biter in the second match where Noxon finally won out in overtime. During the evening Anna Sanford led in assists with 11 out of 21 and with three of 10 aces. Justice Tate and Emma Hill both has 7 kills out of a team 28 and both had 2 each out of 4 blocks. Baylee Pruitt had 12 of 27 digs.

Clark Fork Mountain Cats take second at Arlee tournament

The Clark Fork Lady Mountain Cats took second place in a tournament held in Arlee on Saturday, Sept. 23. Despite a gallant run the Cats fell to the Scarlets 17-25 in both games. Overall Madison Mask led the team in digs with 16 out of 64, 42 out of 46 assists and in aces with 8 out of 30. Kenzie Mueller had team high in kills making 22 out of 53 and Montanna Baughman led in blocks with 3 out of 6.

Clark Fork Mountain Cats take home win on the road in Wallace, ID

The Lady Mountain Cats traveled to Wallace, Idaho on Thurs. Sept. 21 with an overall win after taking the lead in three out of five games 25-15, 23-25, 20-25, 25-23 and 15-13.

Kenzie Mueller led in team kills with 14 of 44 and Madison Mask led in assists with 35 of 38. Kat Parkin, Mask and Montanna Baughman all had one block for a 3 team total and Margaret Parkin and Mask both had 10 of 42 team digs. Margaret also led in team aces with 7 out of 15.

St. Regis beats down the Bears in Lima, 66-64

St. Regis’ Nic Day was instrumental in eight touchdowns including the game-winning 20-yard touchdown run with 19 seconds left for the Tigers win over Lima, 66-64. Day had scoring runs of 3, 60, 25, 40 and 20 yards, and threw three touchdowns to Ian Farris. This was the Tigers first win of the season, scoring five times in the fourth quarter.
