George Marion 'Doc' Holliday
George Marion Holliday “Doc” passed away from natural causes on March 14, 2018 at Rocky Mountain Care Center in Helena.
George was born on November 15, 1928 in Kooskia, Idaho. He spent the majority of his childhood years on a farm in Ronan with his parents, Marion and Doris and three sisters.
After finishing a tour in the Air Force, George spent 30 or more years managing/owning Chevron Stations in Spokane and Othello, Washington. George took great pride in his work and was a dedicated manager. He also had a passion for gardening, and grew many different varieties of fruits and vegetables. When George wasn’t working, he avidly volunteered for the Othello sheriffs and Chief Joseph trail ride events. Doc also loved hunting, fishing, and camping. Another hobby of George’s was reading Louis L’Amour books and watching old Western movies. He was a fan of simple living, and enjoyed life’s simple pleasures.
Doc is preceded in death by his parents Marion and Doris.
He is survived by his daughters, Janette (Brian) Norris of New Albany, Indiana and Georgene (Roger) Jones of Duvall, Washington, his three sisters, Linda Chrisman, Shirley Pauley both of Spokane, Washington, and Betty (Jesse) Privett of Spring Valley, California.
