Plains local business Baldy Mountain Tire has now moved to their new location in a brand new building off Highway 200 next to First Security Bank.
The family owned and run business has now officially opened for business at their newly built shop for anyone that is needing their services.
“We have six working bays, and like to get people back on the road,” said owner Jon Hochstetler.
The local tire business has been running for six years, and was recently located up at the old Plains Service Center as you entered the town.
With the closing of their previous location, Hochstetler said that it was almost good timing as the small business had grown so much they could easily look at expanding.
He said that the purchase of the property for the new business was really important.
The land they purchased to build on will hopefully have a few more businesses come in and build over the next few years.
“We are a family business, and we hope that more businesses that are like ours eventually look to build next to us,” explained Hochstetler.
Along with the tire shop, Hochstetler also moved his other business, Montana Structures.
Having set up his shed and storage buildings right next door, customers can also take advantage of having a look around while they are waiting on some new tires.
The new location has enabled the family to also look further into expansion of their services offered.
“We are hoping to expand the tire shop to offer mechanical services later this year,” said Hochstetler.
Hochstetler continued to say that throughout the whole process from start to finish they were extremely happy with how the new shop turned out.
“What makes this even better is that we used all local businesses from Sanders County throughout the build,” he said.
“We are looking forward to the summer, as we hope to have tables and chairs set up out front so customers can sit and enjoy the scenery while they wait,” explained Hochstetler.
With a brand new verandah awaiting those spring flowers, customers can still stop into the showroom which showcases an abundance of sunlight with its big bay windows.
From top to bottom, the design helps showcase a real ‘Montana’ feel that easily accompanies the ‘Montana’ welcome you get from staff.
Customers who stop in for some work to get done, or those that are looking for some information, quotes or just a chat can also grab a cup of coffee while there.
Just behind the showroom is a brand new tire room that Hochstetler says will enable them to carry a large range of ready to go tires on hand.
“We want to make sure that anyone who needs tires, no matter their vehicle, we can get that service for them done quickly and back on the road happy and safe,” he explained.
As the team looks to really grow the business, Hochstetler couldn’t be more excited to get everything completely set up and continue to service everyone that lives in Sanders County or be able to help those just passing through.
“There are so many great small businesses here, and we want to support those as we look to welcome businesses to the land next to us, and also support them with sending customers to their shops if they need a service we don’t have. It’s only up from here,” said Hochstetler.
