The Paradise Cemetery gates were accidentally locked after an Easter service event preventing loved ones from access to the grounds recently.

A patron looking to visit her father had posted on the Clark Fork Valley Press Facebook page of her distraught of not being able to visit when she stopped at the cemetery recently.

She said in a post,”what’s the deal? Didn’t have time to CALL someone to let me in.”

The Valley Press also drove down to the cemetery and both vehicle access and man gates where in fact locked with a chain and pad lock.

After inquiring with cemetery board member Karval Pickering, she advised that the lock out was an accident.

She said that someone from their recent Easter Sunrise Service to which all gates where open, someone who was not apart of the board must have accidentally locked all the gates.

She advised the herself or someone with a key would be heading up to the cemetery to unlock the man gate to allow access to anyone who wishes to visit a loved one resting.

Pickering also encouraged visitors to call the phone numbers on signs placed next to the gates should there be any issues that the board needs to be aware of, or if someone requires vehicle access.
