Thompson Falls is one of six cities in the state to receive funding from the Montana Department of Commerce.
The Sanders County town will share in $2.6 million of federal grant funding through the Department of Commerce’s Community Development Block Grant Program.
The program supports the financing of critical infrastructure and community development projects in Montana.
“These grants will assist the growth and sustainable development of Montana’s vibrant and charming towns. Each of these projects will produce tangible results to strengthen our communities,” said Pam Haxby-Cote Montana Department of Commerce Director.
Thompson Falls will receive $381,730 to help revitalize a blighted property in Ainsworth Field Park.
