St. Regis Lady Tigers walked away with a win on Feb. 8 against the Hot Springs Savage Heat, 41-35. It was Senior Night in St. Regis as Seniors Kystina Thompson, Justice Tate, Anna Sanford, Jacob Jasper and Ryan Teeter, made their final plays as high school basketball players. During the game, Emma Hill led the girls team with 19 points, Tate had 11, Madison Kelly 5, Thompson 4, and McKenzie Stortz, 2.

The boys had a high scoring game but in the end lost to Hot Springs, 57-41. Nic Day was team high scorer with 14 points, Jasper had 2, Andrew Sanford 8, James Booker 7, Teeter 3, Ian Farris 3, Tanner Day 2, and Adam Ball, 2.

Lady Tigers leap over Lynx in Lincoln, 63-53

In Friday’s play on the road, the St. Regis boys team took a loss to Lincoln, 84-61. During play, Ian Farris had a great game with 26 points, Nic Day had 12, Andrew Sanford 8, Ryan Peter 4, Adam Day 5, James Booker 2, Tanner Day 1, and Zane Antos 3.

In Lincoln, the Lady Tigers had a better showing with a ten point win for the Lynx, 63-53. Kylee Thompson led the team with 20 points followed by Justice Tate with 17, Anna Sanford 11, Madison Kelly 6 and Emma Hill 9. The Tigers will be heading to Pablo for Districts on Feb. 15-17.

Lady Mountain Cats eat the Eagles in Missoula, 70-13

On Feb. 8 the Mountain Cats traveled to Missoula to face the Christian Valley Eagles as the girls walked away with their 17th season win, 70-13. Madison Lommen had a great game and put up 21 points, Kenzie Mueller 15, Kathryn Parkin 2, Emma Baughman 2, Madison Mask 3, Kylie Plakke 2, Madison Courser 2.

The Cats boys team lost to the Eagles, 51-40. Hewston Coon had 4 game points, Danner Haskins 8, Bryan Mask 3, Carson Callison 4, Aaron Waddle 2, Connor Voll 14, Michael Spence 3, Korey Radford 2.

Senior Night win for Lady Cats over Darby Tigers, 61-24

During Senior Night in Superior the Clark Fork Mountain Cats faced the Darby Tigers. The boys team took a loss to the Tigers, 63-54. Senior, Connor Voll was the team’s high scorer with 16 points, ending his high school home play along with Drake Neill. Danner Haskins had 11 points, Bryan Mask had 9, Carson Callison, 8, Aaron Waddle, 7, and Michael Spence, 3.

The Cats girls team continued their undefeated season during their game as Madison Lommen, Kenzie Mueller, Hailey Kelly and Montanna Baughman played their final home game as high school seniors with a win, 61-24. Madison Mask led the team to victory with 19 points, Lommen had 15, Mueller, 9, Kelly and Baughman had 5 each, Sophia Krutilla and Margaret Parkin each had 4 points.

On Tuesday, the Lady Cats were ranked fifth in the state as they head to Districts in Frenchtown on Feb. 16-18.
