A late winter snow storm dumped a foot of snow in areas of Mineral County starting Friday night. By Saturday evening travelers were faced with flakes of heavy wet snow that pounded Interstate 90 all night and into Sunday.

The Montana Department of Transportation and Highway Patrol reported nearly 30 accidents in Mineral County between Friday and Saturday, with reports of incidents crossing the department’s Twitter account throughout the weekend.

On Monday temperatures began to drop with the possibility of 8 below with daytime highs in the teens.
