Last week, the Alberton School’s principal, Kyle Fisher, was put on administrative leave for an indefinite amount of time. Superintendent Steve Picard said the investigation into allegations against Fisher were to be completed on Monday, Feb. 26, and he should be able to release a more complete report early this week.

Picard was not able to release information about the investigation, stating that Fisher’s individual rights to privacy outweigh the public’s right to know at this time.

“As things progress, our legal counsel will let me know what information I can release and give me recommendations,” Picard said.

In the meantime, parents do not need to worry, as “this issue does not affect students,” he said.

Until Fisher returns, Picard will be taking over the principal’s duties, with office hours Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. He will also handle parent-teacher conferences, which will be held March 1.
