In St. Regis the Tigers faced the Noxon Red Devils with a set of loses. The girls lost in a close game, 34-29. The Tigers held the lead at the half, 15-13. But the Red Devils bounced back in the third quarter putting in an extra bucket with the teams tied at 23-23. In the fourth quarter the Tigers dropped back and Noxon gained another 11 points to 6 for the win.
Kylee Thompson from St. Regis was the team’s high scorer with 12 points. Justice Tate had 9 points, Emma Hill 4, and Anna Sanford and Madison Kelly each had 2.
In the boys game the Red Devils took an early lead and kept the pressure on for a 55-10 win. Noxon had 15 points up by the end of the first quarter, with St. Regis at 0. By the half, it was 28-2. The Devils then put up another 19 points in the third quarter and 8 in the fourth. The Tigers put up 4 points in each quarter. Nic Day had 6 points, Ian Farris 3, and Andrew Sanford, 1.
Scarlets and Warriors clobber Tigers in Arlee
In Arlee on Saturday, both St. Regis teams took a beating. The boys lost 95-19 and the girls, 57-41. The Scarlets held a steady 16 points per quarter except in the third quarter they had 9 points. The Lady Tigers got 19 points up by the half, with 11 points in both the third and fourth quarters.
Emma Hill had a good game putting 16 points on the board. Justice Tate had 13 points, Madison Kelly 7 and Kylee Thompson with 5.
The Warriors came out in full force in the first quarter and jumped over the Tigers, 45-6. By the half they had a 53 points lead with 70-17. In the second half of the game, the Tigers only managed 2 points. Tanner Day had 6 points, Nic Day 3, Ryan Teeter 4, James Booker, Adam Ball, and Ian Farris all had 2 points.
Clark Fork Lady Mountain Cats remain undefeated for the season
The Clark Fork Mountain Cats girls are still undefeated in the 13C District with 14-0 after playing Seeley Swan on Friday night. The Cats came out swinging in the first quarter and didn’t let up until the end with a 58-32 victory over the Eagles. They put up 15 points in the first quarter and 18 in the second with a half-time score of 23-15 before an enthusiastic Superior home crowd. In the third quarter they put up 19 points to the Eagles 4.
Madison Lommen lead the Cats with 16 points, Hailey Kelly had 13, Madison Mask, 10, Montanna Baughman, 8, Kenzie Mueller 7, and Hannah Calloway and Margaret Parkin each with 2 points.
The Cats boy’s team wasn’t as successful in their matchup against the Eagles with a 71-30 defeat. Seeley had a good lead by the half with a score of 20-13. They just kept pushing the score up with 20 points in the third and 31 in the fourth quarter. Some of the Cat players were out with illness and injury. Aaron Waddle was team high scorer with 16 points, Bryan Mask had 8, Danner Haskins 3, Connor Voll 2 and Daniel Sebastian, 1.
Lady Cats leap over Lincoln Lynx
The Lincoln Lynx traveled to Alberton on Saturday to face the Clark Fork Mountain Cats with mixed results. The Lady Cats won 79-26 and the boys lost 88-56. The girls came out strong in the first quarter putting up 31 points in the first quarter. By the half they showed a 23 point lead with the score 42-19. In the third quarter they managed another 24 points and 13 in the fourth quarter.
Montanna Baughman led the evening with 23 points. Madison Mask had 18, Madison Lommen and Hailey Kelly each had 15 points. Sophia Krutilla had 4, Kenzie Mueller and Margaret Parkin each with 2 points.
The Cat boys put some good numbers on the board but not enough to beat the Lynx. Lincoln held a 20 point lead by the half with the score 41-21. The Lynx then had a good third quarter putting another 28 point up. Bryan Mask had a good night putting up 22 points, followed by freshman, Danner Haskins with 11 points. Carson Callison had 10, Aaron Waddle 9, both Drake Neill and Connor Voll had 2 points each.
