The Silver Lining Youth Ranch in Heron is getting set for their boys youth camp this July.

Husband-and-wife team Sarah and Nelson Groyer said they are excited for the week long camp for boys between ages 10-14.

Sarah said there would be plenty of fun for the boys to enjoy for the week.

“This has been in passion in our hearts to do,” said Nelson of her and her husband’s drive to create the youth ranch.

“Anyone is welcome,” she added.

She also added that this year they are just beginning with the boys camp, but hope to receive their nonprofit status soon.

“There are so many distractions today for kids. The video games, movies, all kinds of technology. Kids nowadays lack drive, so we want to help them disconnect from the modern world and discover their purpose,” she expressed.

This year’s camp will run from July 9-15, and those soon-to-be cowboys will have a jam-packed week in the woods.

From learning natural horsemanship, to camp fire cooking, archery, mountain trout fishing and even wilderness hiking and packing; there are sure to be an abundance of memories made.

For more information on how your boy can join in on the 2018 Cowboy Wilderness Camp, Nelson said you can contact them through their Facebook page; Silver Lining Youth Ranch.
