Church youth enjoy day of activities

Members from the Mary Queen of Heaven Catholic Church in Superior offered local children a day of fun activities last Friday, June 22. Kids turned out during a four-hour period and did some face painting and beading, and made slime and other crafts and activities. They also took a break for lunch and played some outdoor games.

It’s the first time this has been offered, and church is reaching out to other area churches to participate as well. The activities are open to children of all ages, and they hope to have more days in July and August.

“With the pool closed in Superior, it gives the kids something else to do,” said church member Peggy Temple. “We want the kids to have a happy, fun summer.”
