The Cabin Fever Quilters Guild presented the Cielke family of Haugan with a keepsake quilt last week.

The family lost their home to a fire on Feb. 19.

“We make quilts to help replace what has been lost in a house fire for someone living in Mineral County. It isn’t a lot to someone who has lost everything, but we hope it gives them comfort,” said member Susan Charles.

The Cielke family lost everything in the fire, but plans to rebuild on the same site.

“This is especially good news as the family owned trucking company called Sweet Rides is a welcome employer to the West End,” Charles said.

The Guild also provides quilts to local veterans and other families in need.
