Little Guy Wrestling hits the mats in Superior

The Valley Qualifier for Little Guy Wrestling was held in Superior on Saturday, March 10, where five teams gathered for the Valley Qualifier. Beginners, Novice and Middle levels competed, however Juniors did not compete at this event.
Teams from Bonner (BON), Thompson Falls (TFS), Plains/Hot Springs (PHS), Frenchtown (FTN), and Alberton/Superior (CFK) were there for week four out of a six week season.
Clark Fork Mountain Cats Coach, Charlie Crabb, said the teams looked good this year and he was pleased to see a good balance between Alberton and Superior kids competing.
Out of all the teams, seven Clark Fork Mountain Cats wrestlers walked away with a first place win and the Cats dominated the 65 pound Novice level placing four out of the top five slots.
In the Middle level at 70 pounds, Clark Fork Mountain Cat, Micah Acker came in first place, as did Decker Milender in the 90 pound class. Jaxson Green was first in 147 pound and Kaleb Pierce at 187 pound.
In Novice, Cat Phineas Cataldo came in first in 65 pound class, Gannon Quinlan came in second in that class, Trizten Avila third and Brydon Drey fifth. At 80 pounds Turner Milender was first and Wade Calloway second and at 90 pounds Landon Richards was first.
