Students in Superior join protest against gun violence

Three junior high Superior students joined other students across Montana and the nation, to participate in a planned walkout last Wednesday, Mar. 14. The walkout was to demand action on gun violence one month after the Feb. 14 killing of 17 people at a high school in Parkland, Florida.

The students held 17-minute walkouts to represent the 17 victims of the shooting at the hands of 19-year-old Nikolas Cruz. Students participated from Billings High Schools; several Missoula schools; Capital High and Helena High; Carroll College; St. Ignatius; Hamilton; Bozeman; Kalispell; Whitefish; Bigfork and Columbia Falls. No students from Alberton or St. Regis participated in the event.
