April showers bring May flowers

Hikers around Mineral County can enjoy the colorful array of spring flowers which are beginning to shoot up in between rocks, near logs and across open fields.

Buttercups, purple shooting stars, and yellow bells are just a few of the hundreds of wildflowers that blanket the mountains during this time of year.

Hikers are encouraged to get out and enjoy the warm weather and beautiful scenery now that winter snow banks are melting away, swelling the banks of the Clark Fork River.
