Lady Bluehawks, Red Devils excel in recent meets
Thompson Falls jumper Jody Detlaff excelled at the ARM Invitational Saturday at Whitefish High School.
Detlaff placed first in the high jump recording a height of 4 feet, 10 inches and also placed second in the 3,200-meter run with a time of 12 minutes, 50.79 seconds, a personal record.
Teammate Miya Stiles placed fifth in the pole vault recording a distance of 8 feet, 6 inches at ARM.
The 4X400 relay team consisting of Neesvig, Detlaff, Hanks, and Haley Morgan finished sixth in the Whitefish ARM with a time of 4 minutes, 54.99 seconds.
Delta didn’t finish first at the ABC Top-8 Invitational Saturday afternoon at Eureka, but she did set another personal record in the discus.
Detlaff recorded a throw of 90 feet, 11 inches placing fourth in the discus. Kasey VanZanten finished fifth recording a throw of 89 feet, 2 inches. She also placed second in the high jump, leaping to 4 feet, 11 inches, a personal record.
Lady Bluehawk teammate Miya Stiles finished second in the pole vault recording a distance of 7 feet, 9 inches and sixth in the long jump with a distance of 13 feet, 11.5 inches.
Thompson Falls runner Haley Morgan finished fifth in the 400-meter dash with a time of 1 minute, 6.50 seconds, a personal best. Sierra Hanks finished the 800-meter run with a time of 2 minutes, 49.25 seconds.
Neesvig finished second in the 1,600-meter dash with a time of 5 minutes, 48.17 seconds and Rachel Ribeiro finished fourth in the 3,200-meter run recording a time of 15 minutes, 34.84 seconds.
Kacey VanZanten finished third in the 300-meter dash with a time of 56.21 seconds and Riley Wilson finished third in the 100-meter dash with a time of 19 seconds.
The Noxon Lady Red Devils had several outstanding performances in the ABC Top-8 Invite Saturday at Eureka High School.
Phalyn Fickas finished fourth in the 3,200-meter run with a time of 14 minutes, 39.64 seconds. Kali Murray finished fifth in the 100-meter dash with a time of 19.69 seconds.
The 4X100 relay team of Kali Murray, Kristina Brown, Delaney Weltz and Anna Kaiser finished third with a time of 58 seconds.
Other outstanding performances by Lady Red Devils include Delaney Weltz, who finished fourth in the shot put with a throw of 28 feet, 8.50 inches, and Cory Bromerkle threw for 28 feet, 5.50 inches, placing fifth.
Weltz also finished second in the discus with a throw of 98 feet, 11 inches and Brodmerkle finished fifth with a throw of 85 feet, 7 inches.
