T-Falls, Noxon track showcase skills at Top-10, ARM meet

Thompson Falls track star Danny Hoisington solidified his chances to be in the conversation for hardware in two of the biggest regular season track events of the year at the Top-10 event Tuesday and Whitefish ARM Saturday.

Hoisington finished fifth in the triple jump finals of the Top-10 recording a distance of 41 feet. Hoisington finished fourth in the 110-meter dash with a time of 16.63 at the Whitefish ARM Saturday in Whitefish. He also placed third in the triple jump with a leap of 40 feet, 5.75 inches.

Cody Garrison finished fifth in the 300-meter dash at Whitefish with a time of 45.92 seconds.

Cody Burk finished third in the discus with a throw of 118 feet, 9 inches, a personal record and fifth in the pole vault with a jump of 11 feet, 6 inches.

Other placers that finished solid at the Eureka ABC Top-8 event Tuesday included Nate Tibeault, who finished first in the 400-meter dash with a time of 52.18 seconds, a personal record.

In the 1,600-meter run, Colby Lantz finished third recording a time of 5 minutes, 23 seconds and Alex Erosa finished fourth with a time of 5 minutes, 3.56 seconds.

Lantz also finished third in the 3,200 meter run with a time of 11 minutes, 6.50 seconds.

Bluehawks’ runner Robert Bonney finished second in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 18.32 seconds, a personal record.

The 4X400 relay team consisting of Nick Tibeault, Cody Garrison, Alex Erosa and Nick Viera finished second with a time of 53.54 seconds.

The Bluehawks also excelled in throwing events. Cody Burk finished fifth with a throw of 112 feet and Cody Garrison finished third in the javelin with a throw of 145 feet, 8 inches.

Bluehawks jumper Harrison Hugus finished fourth in the triple jump with a distance of 5 feet, 3.25 inches and Viera finished fifth clearing a distance of 5 feet, 1.25 inches.

Garrison finished second in the pole vault with a jump of 11 feet, 6 inches and Viera finished second in the long jump recording a distance of 19 feet, 6 inches. Tibeault finished third with a distance of 19 feet, six inches.

The Noxon Red Devils had some outstanding performers in the Eureka ABC Top-8 Invitational Tuesday afternoon.

Cody Gable finished fifth in the 400-meter dash recording a time of 55.76 seconds, a personal record. Edison VanVleet finished fourth by recording a time in the 110-meter hurdles of 19.27 seconds and finished fourth in the 300-meter hurdles with a time of 46.55 seconds, a personal record.

In the 4X400 relay, the team consisting of Gable, Aiden Galloway, Alex Currie and Edison VanVleet finished third with a time of 4 minutes, 19 seconds.

Noxon has become known for their throwers. Aaron Raynor finished fifth with a throw of 40 feet, 4.50 inches in the shot put. In the discus, Rylan Weltz placed third with a throw of 113 feet, 1 inches, a personal record and Raynor also finished fourth with a throw of 112 feet, a personal record.

In the triple jump, Levi Brubaker finished first by recording a distance of 42 feet, 4 inches, another personal record.
