Clearwater Montana Properties in Plains recently donated money to the Cancer Network of Sanders County.

The local nonprofit received a check of $227.18 in total.

The money pooled together was a portion of Clear Water Properties commissions.

Cancer Network of Sanders County newly elected president John Clark was happy to have been presented the donation.

Judy Woolley alongside Mary Halling said that they choose a local charity each year to donate to.

“We are pleased to make this donation to an organization that has done so much good for so many people. Almost no one escapes being touched by cancer and we are aware of the high costs associated with the travel for care,” said Woolley

For Woolley this year’s donation she said was a personable way of paying it forward, knowing the process and long road of recovery CNSC recipients go through. Woolley was also an original member having helped build the local nonprofit for cancer patients across Sanders County.

Since its founding in 1993, Clearwater Properties has emphasized community-building as a key component of its company culture.

Through its Charitable Giving Program, the company’s agents give back a portion of all real-estate proceeds to the communities in which they were earned.

To date, the program has produced over $432,000 in charitable donations to causes throughout Montana, Idaho, Washington, and Wyoming, including over $56,000 in 2017 alone.

“Being a positive force locally is at the core of what we do,” said CEO/Broker Kevin Wetherell.

“When you do business with Clearwater Properties, you also benefit local nonprofit organizations who work hard to improve and benefit your local community and its citizens,” he added.

“We hope our contribution will be much larger next year,” expressed Woolley.
