Death still under investigation

ON May 3, 51-year-old Thompson Falls local Matt Lafriniere was found dead after a 911 call to Sanders County Office Dispatch Center

Lafriniere at the time of authorities responding was found to be unresponsive and later declared deceased.

As of May 24, Sanders County Sheriff Tom Rummel said the events that took place leading to the death were still under full investigation.

“All information is being held confidential at this time to prevent from any possible compromise to the case,” said Rummel.

He also added that more information will be released when the investigation allows.
