Scholarships awarded from DUI Task Force

The Mineral County DUI Task Force was proud to present this year’s Scholarship awards to two graduating seniors from the St. Regis and Superior School Districts Class of 2018. The DUI Task Force presented a $500 scholarship award to Anna Sanford from St. Regis and also to Wyatt O’Day from Superior.

The Task Force awards one $500 scholarship to a graduating senior from each High School in Mineral County after submitting an application, which is then evaluated by Task Force Members for academic achievement & awards, extracurricular activities & experiences, and lastly, on a written essay regarding how the student would handle the peer pressure of underage alcohol drinking after graduation. Sadly, no applications were received this year from Alberton High School.

Anna Sanford from St. Regis H.S. will be attending Gonzaga University in Spokane, WA, for a degree in International Business. Wyatt O’Day will be attending the University of Montana for a degree in Wildlife Biology.
