Join DBSA Superior and Mineral County LAC for a free lunch and learn to use some tools for making this holiday season one of peace and joy. Share ideas how to avoid chaos, stress management and slowing down to make this year one of the best seasons you’ve ever had. Christmas Bazaars

The annual Alberton Christmas Bazaar will be held on Nov. 24 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Alberton Elementary School cafeteria. Enjoy homemade goodies and gifts along with lunch.

The annual Christmas bazaar will be held on Dec. 8 at the St. Regis Community Center, and they are now taking reservations for table spaces. Call Eileen at 406-242-0317.

Winter Festival in Alberton Nov. 30

The 2018 Winter Festival and tree lighting will be held Nov. 30 from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Alberton Community Center. Sponsored by the PEAK Foundation.

Women in Timber

The Women in Timber store’s last day for this year will be Dec. 7. On Dec. 8, children can come to the fire hall in Superior to get presents for their parents. These gifts are free. The applications for Christmas food baskets are out, and you must fill them out and return to the address for the Lions Club in order to get one by Dec. 7. This is for Mineral County families. Applications can be picked up at the food bank, Women in Timber store and Castle’s in Superior. In St Regis, they will be at the school and the O.K. Cafe. In Alberton, they will be at Valley Grocery.

Christmas Tree Lighting and Concert in DeBorgia

On Dec. 6 at 4:30 p.m. the Happy Homemakers, aka DeBorgia Schoolhouse Foundation, invite you to join in with a tradition the west end is proud to host: The lighting of the town Christmas Tree followed by a concert full of Christmas carols for everyone to enjoy and sing along to. The kids will love it, and the hot chocolate!

Friends of Library Christmas Bazaar Dec. 8

The Friends of the Library Christmas Bazaar will be held Saturday, Dec. 8 at the Superior School elementary gym. They are asking for crafters, donations for baskets, and Christmas cookies for their “Cookies by the Pound” sale. Contact the Mineral County Library at 406-822-3563.

Choir/chime practice

The annual community-wide Christmas Program will be held on Monday, Dec. 3 at 7 p.m. at the LDS Church in Superior this year. This event is open to the public.

Holiday Food Drive

Mineral Community Hospital’s Holiday Food Drive is in full swing through Dec. 27 for donations to local food pantries. There are seven other drop-off locations for non-perishable food: Castle’s Market, TrailWest Bank, Superior Senior Center, Stang’s Food Center, Jack Lincoln Memorial Clinic, St. Regis Senior Center and Alberton Feed & Supply.

All donations will be gathered and weighed by the hospital and then distributed to the Superior School Food Pantry, Mineral County Food Bank and the Alberton Food Pantry. For more information go online to www.MineralCommunityHospital.org.

Senior Centers

Superior Senior Center serves free dinners to residents who are 90 years old and older. Dinner is every Wednesday starting at 4:30 p.m.

St. Regis Senior Center serves meals every Thursday at 5:30 p.m. and on the last Monday of the month at 5:30 p.m. The menu Nov. 25, Hispanic meal; and Nov. 29, chili burgers.

The Alberton Senior Center serves lunches each Tuesday and Thursday at noon.

Holiday Fair Dec. 1

A Holiday Fair will be held in the Old School House Gym on Dec. 1 from 10 to 3 p.m. Located at 100 River Street in Superior enjoy locally made crafts and support Mineral County non-profit organizations. Contact Whipped Up Café for more information at 406-272-5874.
