Plains Kinder Career Day 2018

Plains Elementary School once again opened the eyes of the town’s youngsters with Kinder Career Day.
Not only did the kids break into multiple groups and work their way through lots of fun stations, local business professionals went out to the day to talk with the kids in the hopes of aspiring the next generation.
“It was a fantastic experience to have, hoping that maybe one of the kiddos may just want to write for the local paper like me,” said Valley Press reporter Erin Jusseaume.
Not only did Jusseaume talk to the kids about covering local events and talking to a plentiful of local people each day, she was joined by other prominent locals that had a blast as well.
“It was fun talking to the kids about my job at the hospital, and I was even able to bring a couple of animal milks forth to look at,” said Kassy Marjerirson from Clark Fork Valley Hospital, who talked about infant nursing.
Local Montana Highway Trooper Zach Rehbein was there with his patrol car, which some kids said to the reporter on the day that they were even allowed to sit in the driver’s seat.
Doug Browning was there with one of the DNRC’s departments state fire truck, while Chad Revier also turned out with a school bus.
As the kids moved through all the stations on the day, dressed as the professional they wished to grow up to be, the smiles didn’t fade — as possibilities ran through their heads of how much fun each different job could be and which one to choose when they grow up.
