Clark Fork gets volleyball, football wins

The Clark Fork Lady Mountain Cats plucked the Valley Christian Eagles during volleyball play in Missoula On Oct. 4, 26-24; 25-15; 26-24. In 24 team kills, Emmah Baughman led the way with 8. Madison Mask once again led in team assists with 16 out of 19 and Margaret Parkin had 13 out of 47 team digs. Out of 7 team aces, Sorren Reese had 3, and she had one of the teams two blocks, the other block was Cassie Green.

St. Regis falls to Arlee, Charlo

The St. Regis Lady Tiger faced Arlee on the road with a loss, 25-7; 25-15; 25-11 on Oct. 4. During play, Emma Hill led the team in kills with 7 out of 15, she also made all three of the teams blocks. Kiya Taylor had 2 of 5 team aces and Baylee Pruitt led in assists with 10 of 13 and in digs making 11 out of 35.

The Lady Tigers were also defeated by Charlo in a home game on Oct. 5, 25-11; 25-11; 25-15. During play, Chloe Cielke led in team kills making 5 out of 21. Baylee Pruitt had 13 of 19 assists, Pruitt also had 11 out of 36 team digs and Emma Hill had one block.

Cats fly over Seeley Eagles, 95-50

The Clark Fork Mountain Cats pulled the Seeley-Swan Eagles down during a home game in Superior on Friday, Oct. 5, 94-50. The 8-man team took an early lead in the first quarter with 22 points, while the Eagles put up eight. By the half, the Cats led 66-28.

Quarterback Bryan Mask passed 205 yards with teammate Trey Green tearing up 246 rushing yards for six touchdowns. Isaiah Kovolsky received two touchdown passes, and Kyle Francis and Cory Radford both scored one touchdown. In the final quarter, sophomore Danner Haskins threw a 48-yard pass to freshman Anthony Mueller for a touchdown.

Next, the Mountain Cats face Plains on the road on Oct. 12 at 7 p.m. Last week was an open week for the St. Regis/Wallace football team. Next week they play Kootenai in Mullan, Idaho, on Oct. 12 at 3 p.m. (PDT).
