| October 24, 2018 7:29 PM

Marian Louise Brandemihl Wenholz came into the world on May 6, 1931, and passed on to her eternal home on Oct. 17, 2018, at the age of 87 years young, with family by her side.

Marian was born in Baker, Mont., to Adolph John and Lois Marian (Stout) Brandemihl. She is preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Leo Wenholz; parents; brothers, William, Chester and Kenneth; and sister, Lorna Perkins.

She was the beloved mother of four children: a son, Gene (Carol) Wenholz; and daughters, Cheryl (Jerry) Wright, Jacqi (Tom) Peterson and Cynthia (Todd) Boehler. She has 14 grandchildren and 38 great-grandchildren who knew her as GG (Great Grandma). She spent all the time she could with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Marian loved to garden, both vegetable and flowers. Her favorite flowers were roses. She was a master cook and baker, from scratch, of course.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church and their Women’s Circle. She was also Noble Grand of the Fidelity Rebekah Lodge during her membership.

A memorial service will be held on Nov. 3, 2018 ,at 11 a.m. at the First Lutheran Church in Plains, Mont., with a luncheon following, provided by the VFW Women’s Auxiliary. Interment will be at the Glacier Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Kalispell, Mont., for family members at a later date.

In lieu of flowers Marian wanted donations made to the National Emphysema Foundation. She was diagnosed with emphysema in 1996, which significantly changed her life and contributed to her death.
