Kindergarten Roundup 'eye opener' for youngsters
Some approached with circumspection, others with confidence or curiosity.
About 30 potential kindergarteners took a step toward Kindergarten last Friday, April 19 at the Plains Kindergarten Roundup.
The bright-eyed youth were greeted by cheerful Kindergarten teachers Katie Hillerman and Dani Walker, and a team of assistants to help screen for balance, hearing and sight while checking what they already know of such mysteries as letters, numbers, sounds, shapes and body parts.
Most already displayed prowess in the fields of building interesting things out of magnets and parts in the toy area, and demolishing free cookies and juice.
