Margery Martin, 86, passed away August 2, 2019.

Born in Glendive, Montana, to William and Florence Stanfill, Marge was the youngest of nine children. She grew up in a musical family, with pleasent memories of her mother playing the piano as she and her siblings sang. She taught Sunday school and incorporated music into her lessons.

Marge attended high school in Alberton and Missoula. At the age of 19 she married Eugene Martin and together they had six children. She was a devout wife and mother, loved to cook.

After their children were grown Marge worked for 15 years for the Superior School District as a custodian. She also volunteered at the school for the children’s reading program.

As her children, it was a great honor to care for our mother in her short battle with cancer. Marge had a servant’s heart and was a very joyful person and a devout Christian woman. Her faith in the Lord Jesus was of great comfort, sustaining her through her last days with amazing grace.

How true are these words: First we are children to our parents, then parents to our children, then parents to our parents, then children to our children.

Marge is proceeded in death by her son Paul and her husband Eugene. Her surviving children are: Danny Martin, Billings, Montana. Rena McDermott (Vern) Superior, Catherine Peckinpaugh (Steve) Stevensville, Carol Stern (Scott) Livingston Mt, Debby Norris (Frank) Superior Mt. She has 11 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and 2 great, great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held in Superior Montana at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 17 in the multipurpose room at the Superior High School.
