Mineral County authorities released names of two individuals who died in a head-on collision after their car struck a semi-truck on Saturday, August 3.

Amy Jo Bass and Matisen Rae Huntley were in a vehicle driving eastbound on near the Fish Creek Exit on Interstate 90 in a construction zone when it crossed over the center line and collided with a semi-truck, killing both of them, according to authorities.

Mineral County officials said the vehicle had Idaho license plates.

The Mineral County Sheriff’s Office, Frenchtown Rural Fire District, Superior Volunteer Fire Department, Superior Area Ambulance Service, Montana Department of Transportation and Motor Carrier Service assisted with the accident.

Correction: A previous version of this story stated that Missoula Emergency Services Incorporated assisted when they did not. Superior Area Ambulance Service was not mentioned when they did in fact assist.
