Community Calendar

- Friday, Dec. 6 p.m., the Peak Foundation will present its Annual Tree Lighting and Community Gathering at the Alberton Community Center. The hours are from 6–8 p.m. Potluck and bring a candle to put under the tree in remembrance of someone who has recently passed on. Games will be played. - Saturday, Dec. 7, Helping Hands of Alberton will host its 24th annual Helping Hands Auction at the River Edge Resort in Alberton. There will be a fish and chips lunch at noon at an auction at 1 p.m. All proceeds benefit needy families in the communities.

- Saturday, Dec. 7. The Friends of the Mineral County Library will hold its annual Christmas Bazaar from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. in the Superior Elementary School gymnasium. Vendor space is $20. Santa Claus will make an appearance and there will be raffle baskets, a book sale and cookies soup and hot dogs for sale. For information call Florence Evans at 406-822-3563.

- Sunday, Dec. 8, the Mineral County Air Rifle and Archery Clubs will hold its annual fundraiser by offering to load free of charge splits and loads of wood for a donation. The event will take place between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. at 67 Nancy Lee Lane just east of the Riverbend underpass on Mullan Road in Superior.
