Bluehawk wrestlers place seventh at Owen Invitational

Five placewinners, including one runnerup, put the Thompson Falls Bluehawks into seventh place at the Owen Invitational this past weekend in Pablo at Salish Kootenai College.

Trae Thilmony led Thompson Falls with a second-place finish at 126 pounds. In four matches, he pinned his way to the finals. Three of the four occurred in the first period.

In the finals, Eureka’s Gunnar Smith, the two-time defending state champ, claimed a 4-0 decision over Thilmony.

Also, Dakota Irvine and Elijah Ratliff each placed third while Roman Sparks was fourth and Dane Chownacky was sixth.
