Mary Johnson

Mary C Johnson, 87, of Plains, Mont., passed away Wednesday, Feb 6, 2019, at home with her daughter Mina and son-in-law Jim at her side.

Mary was born in Williamsport, Penn., on Nov. 30, 1931. She was a loving mother, grandmother, wife and an adventurer.

At 18 she left Pennsylvania for California to seek a better life. There she met her husband Jay Ziai where they proceeded to have 2 daughters, Mina and Soraya.

In 1962 they moved overseas for Jay’s business. The family traveled all over Europe and lived in Iran, Turkey, Greece, Italy, and Germany.

In 1977, Mary came back to America to start another chapter of her long and exciting life.

In 1995, she moved to Plains to be near her daughter Mina and son-in-law Jim. Here she met some of her best friends, of which she cherished.

Mary was always laughing, she loved to dance, and made the best of every situation. She made everyone around her feel loved and happy.

Mary is survived by her daughter Mina Ziai and son-in-law Jim Hagen of Plains, her daughter Soraya Ziai of Roseburg OR, her granddaughter Heather Vasquez and husband Bryan Vasquez of Denver CO, and grandson Lumya Ziai of Roseburg OR.

Mary will live on in the memories of her family and friends.
